Equipment & Home Mods

NDIS assistive technology and home modification support covers two different things that are often listed together: equipment that helps a participant do a task, and changes to the home that make it safer or easier to live in. The equipment side covers mobility aids, assistive products for personal care and household tasks, communication devices, prosthetics and orthoses, and vehicle modifications. The building side covers home modification design and construction, such as ramps, bathroom changes and widened doorways. Some items need an assessment before they can be funded. Provider24 lists 17 equipment and home modification providers in six states and territories. Compare providers and contact the ones that suit you.
